What lovely warm tones! The pendant’s focal piece is a large Bloodstone in rich earthy smudges of espresso, cafe latte and hints of teal.

The top of the pendant is a pewter-capped Red Jasper bead and the off the bottom hangs a mother-of-pearl bead. I kept the wirework to a minimum so the bloodstone could take centrestage.

The pendant comes hung on a necklace of multiple strands of brown cotton cords and a sheer organza ribbon. I can change it to a suede cord if you prefer.

Metaphysical properties of Bloodstone: Bloodstone is said to be a powerful healer and revitalizer. Some people believe that if you wear Bloodstone constantly, it can help improve your health. Apparently, placing Bloodstone by your bedside will also encourage a sound sleep.

Metaphysical properties of Red Jasper: Jasper is said to drive away negativity and red jasper in particular is supposed to deflect negative energy back to the sender!
