Veni, Vidi, Vici - MINE

Inspired by the superb wirework skills of the other Simone (creator of Aqua Dreams), I've created a few items which incorporate the ancient Egyptian scrolls.

Here is Veni, Vidi, Vici, named after a famous declaration by Julius Caesar. On his triumphant return to Rome after yet another conquest, he is said to have uttered this phrase which means "I came, I saw, I conquered".

This bracelet has nothing to do with conquest -- I just thought it looked Roman-esque :-) Between the scrolls are beads of amethyst (also popular with the ancient Romans). Toggle clasp is gold-plated.

This was a test piece made with bronzetone wire. I'm waiting for my 14K gold-filled wire to arrive from the US so I can get cracking on creating a more posh version of Veni, Vidi, Vici ... and maybe a matching necklace and ear-rings too.

Update (21 June): The gold-filled wire in the size I was waiting for has come in at last! Similar bracelets/ear-rings/necklaces in gold-filled or argentium (non-tarnish silver) can be commissioned. Please e-mail me for prices.

hi jacklyn :) yeah, the Egyptian swirls have been around for thousands of years. I use different wire sizes for different looks.

Thank you muchly, Earnest :) ... fellow Aquarian and fellow Catholic (what a combo; what a coincidence; would've been freakily coincidental if I were not a monkey but a horse).

Hope the exam went well and good luck for any upcoming ones.
