Update on the artist

As promised, here is an update on the artist whose hand-made jewellery I had admired last night.

Her name is Catherine Kang and she has won awards in Singapore and Hongkong for her work. If you do a Google search on "Atypical Piz," I'm sure you'll find her link. Otherwise, just drop me an e-mail for her contact details.

Pictured on the left is what I bought today. Finally decided on this instead of the fishies :) Cute, eh?

What struck me about sweet Catherine is her social consciousness. She works with organisations such as MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore) on some of her pieces.

And that got me thinking about how as individuals, we each can play our own little part to make this world a better place. Sorry, I really don't mean to sound preachy, but it has been on my mind for a while. I am very, very inspired by Catherine ... let's see where this inspiration leads.
