Magic!

It has been ages since I've put on a hip scarf or worn my Galliardo shoes .... but last night's concert may have changed that. It was so good to catch up with old bellydance friends as well as Angel and Rose, from whom I used to learn flamenco.

It was soooo good to hear the familiar rhythms and feel the magic of the music echo in your soul... ahhhhhh!!!

The first half of the program featured performances by some local dancers. It was interesting to see how Singaporeans interpret Middle Eastern dance. My fave was the Zambra Mora (bellydance-flamenco ... and i *think* that's what it's called) number by Serene (she is a GENIUS with the zills) and Hsiao Min.

After the intermission, the Ramzy's transported us to the magical world of Egyptian rhythms and dance. Hossam was engaging and Serena mesmerised.

Then, all too soon, it was over. (But the shopping began ...hahahaha ... you can see the DVD I bought on the right)

I so want to dance again!
