Seed Bead Adventures ... With A Kit

Update: THANK YOU, Shirley, for giving me permission to make versions of your Ndebele Leaves Necklace for sale.

The seed bead bug has bitten. Hard!

This is my very first attempt with the ndebele or herringbone stitch.

Some months ago, I bought a couple of kits and recently, this one, called "Ndebele Leaves" with instructions by Shirley Lim, demanded that it be made up.

After an initial clumsy attempt, the necklace came together and here is the final product!

I photographed it from the wrong side so if you look closely (please don't, pretty please), you will see little bits which should not be seen and some crooked lines ... hahahah!

I'm not making variations of this necklace for sale until I get permission from the original artist.

Hi Simone,
Great work, so happy that you are able to work it out without my personal help.
The necklace is able to wear it both sides.
Looking forward to see you work on my 2nd kit!

Dephine darling! You're such a sweetheart. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Shirley! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Your instructions are so clear, it was quite easy to work out :)

But of course my skills are not quite there yet, that's why I mentioned "wrong side" and "right side" :)) Still working on the "Zero Point" necklace. Love it!
