Namaste
Delhi was chaotic and lovely -- what a country of contrasts!
Ancient and modern, extreme wealth and abject poverty, saris and plunging necklines, mansions and tents, scorching heat and north pole-esque airconditioning all collide in a heady mix that can only be India.
It was a good (if awfully busy) trip. Met some interesting people and hopefully started a few new friendships as well; acquired an Indian name ("Gulab," which means "rose"); picked up some choice Hindi swear words which came in useful at the airport; and no, did not develop Delhi belly.
Unfortunately, silly me didn't bring a camera, so I can't share some of the sights with you. I'll see if I can get some pics from other better prepared colleagues.
Now, a mountain of e-mail awaits ... SO SORRY for not replying earlier. I WILL get to your e-mails in the next couple of days.
In the meantime, I need to somehow conjure up lots of creations because THERE IS A FAIR THIS WEEKEND at the Hilton Hotel!!! Aaaaccckkkk! Stay tuned ... more details to come.
