One of the most famous drawings in the world is Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, a study in perfect proportions.

The pen and ink drawing, together with accompanying notes in Da Vinci's signature mirror writing, dates to 1490.

Vitruvian was an ancient Roman architect who said that buildings should be designed based on the proportions of man because the human body is the perfect model.
