Lime & Orange Sorbet - NOT FOR SALE
Update: I've decided to keep this one :) But do look out for variations.
One of my favourite treats on hot days like the ones we've been having is an icy scoop of refreshing lime or orange sorbet.
Well I haven't gotten my hands on any sorbet, so these juicy peridot and carnelian beads will have to do!
I've admired Eni's work since spotting one of her pieces on the cover of a bead and wire jewellery book last year, and I hope I've done her tutorial some justice!
The necklace portion also features peridot and carnelian. Total necklace length is about 18 inches. Pendant measures 5cm from the very top to the bottom dangle.
Chain is rhodium plated. Wire is tarnish-resistant silvertone artistic wire. Clasp is 925 silver.

Hi Simone daarrrling!!,
I am venturing into the world of blog. Only surfing for now. Don't know if it's appropriate to post a comment just to say hi.. hee. xx fiona

:)

Hello Izel. Glad to find another Eni Oken fan.
Eni is SUPER, isn't she? Do you have that bead and wire book? I think she has a couple of projects featured there though not as comprehensive as her tutorials.
I'm going mad (in a good way) trying out some of the techniques! So FUN and so addictive.
FIONAAAAAAAA!!!!! {{{hugs}}} Welcome to Blogland :) It's a fun and terribly addictive world.
Oh I found her online tutorials the other day and was wondering if I should give this design and another one on wire-wrapped pendant a go.
You definitely do her tutorial justice! This necklace is simply lovely! :D
Wan
Very nice! You are so creative!
Hello Wan! Go for it. Download the tutorials you especially like and try them out; or adapt the free ones.
I'm doing one of the pendant tutorials now and will hopefully complete it when I get home from work tonight :)
I like that Eni allows us to use the techniques to make our own stuff as long as we acknowledge the source.
Hi 3aGurl! You, my dear, are so kind :) I can't take full credit for this one though, as it is based on the work of Eni Oken who does the most fantabulous wirework/wire-wrapping stuff.
It's SOOOO FUUUUNNNN!!!!
Ya, she is super. She makes you go crazy figuring out how the hell she does all those beautiful wirework and at the same time itch to get your hands on to try out too!!
Cheers,
Izel Ang
Hey, Izel! Yeaahhhhh! I just drool when browsing her gallery. Such gorgeous pieces! And such intricate work.
Her tutorials, though, are very easy to follow, thank goodness!! The challenge is getting enough practise so that all work is almost as neat as hers :)
I think she is a genius in this! So well known internationally and she is always coming out with new tutorials!!
Have fun with them! :)
Just went to Eni Oken's webby and her pieces are spectacular! I can only gush!;P
Hey Chev! Yeah, Eni Oken's work is drool-worthy alright! LOVE her attention to detail and intricate wirework.
