I Could Get Used To This!
I learnt a few new things during this business trip -- Australia is HUGE, Singapore Airlines treats pregnant women like queens (go SQ!) and boy are there lots of stars in the sky :)) But I won't bore you with all the details. Here are a few pics from the trip:
Every morning, the trees would come alive with the busy whistles and calls of birds, Mother Nature's alarm clocks. One morning, I even saw a family of ducks waddling around!
One thing I wanted to see but didn't get a chance to, were 'roos.
And here is the view of the building where we had the meetings. Our discussions were held inside and then we sat outside with the birdies for lunch.
The weather was FABULOUS -- crisp, cool and sunny. Wish I could've bottled some of that cool air and shipped it home :))
Here is a pic of one of the lunch "guests". This one perched itself on a chair and stared longingly at our sandwiches and salad. He was a cutie.
Look at how beautifully blue the sky is!!
On the last morning, I took a walk to the nearby marine village and had breakfast at a cute little restaurant overlooking the water.
It was a little chilly when the wind blew, but other than that, it was perfect. There were a few shops there too, but nothing too much to write home about :))
Overall, it was a good and productive (work-wise) trip and I LOVED that D and I got a chance to reconnect (I miss her so). But I'm happy to be back home!

Lovely pictures. Good to see you back *hugs*.
Was wondering if you should travel, but since you got queenie treatment, hey...
Oh Blinggirl, i just got back from sydney too. Totally agree with the lovely weather. But my airport saga made my trip less pleasant than yours (it's in my blog if you have time)...but i still had a great time.
Love your pics. how's the little one doing?
Hello SinLady! Huge hugs to you too!!!! As doc gave the green light to travel, off I went :))
This was a more relaxing trip as I did not do the red-eye flight as I usually do, but went in a day earlier and left a day later.
Also, having a prominent baby belly (baby is a showoff) helps :))
I've never been treated so nicely by the airline before. They fussed and pampered and even arranged for someone to get my baggage off the carousel.
On a separate note, we MUST meet soon!!
G'day, Suzie Wong! Sorry to hear about your airport saga. I'll go read about it, but can only imagine the frustration you must've felt.
Somehow, the most annoying people & situations can always be found in airports ... and restaurants :))
The little one is doing good, thanks! Enjoys kicking/tickling momma, especially when I'm not moving, the little rascal.
Had another scan today and baby has doubled in size since 4 weeks ago although momma has lost a bit of weight! And this little rascal is still being shy and won't let us see what gender he/she is!
