Has Anyone Seen My....

TOES?

When I stand up straight and look down at my feet, I can't find my toes anymore ... HAHAHAHAHHA! They've disappeared!!!

Pictured on the left is what my belly looks like today, at 24 wks and 1 day. Only about 3 1/2 months to go before we meet the little one!

Funny thing is, though the belly is expanding and Little Rascal is growing well, momma has put on only 1kg since the beginning ... probably because I started out "fluffy" anyway :)) Doc is not worried and neither am I. (And yes, I am eating well almost all day long).

Anyways, all is good. Little Rascal is furiously kicking and punching away every day, startling me out of sleep sometimes and people are starting to offer me seats in hawker centres :)))

Oh, and there is always free advice from total strangers and the occasional belly-rub too .. hahahah ... like the bump is public property! :D

Another reason I posted this pic is to celebrate the fact that dreams do come true, even when you have just about given up on them. Ours came true after ten very long years.... and to those of you who are aching for your dream, I wish that it will come true SOON. Babydust!

I can only go awww.. after reading this post and am really happy for you. :) Anyway, take care and have a great week ahead!

PS: I'm thinking and working hard toward my dream - opening my own "shop". Any advice for this newbie? ;P

Hello, Wan! Thanks so much :)) And I wish you all the best for *your* DREAM .. how exciting!!!!!

I'm nooooo expert at all, but but some lessons I learnt include:

1. Start simple and grow from there. Depending on what you want to sell, and if it is feasible, look for opportunities to test the market and gauge people's response. Now's the time to tap the friend network for uncensored opinions :)

2. Do lots of research about what is already available and be very clear about what will make you different from everyone else.

3. REGISTER YOUR BUSINESS!! You can get in trouble for using a site to sell without first having a registered business.

4. Price your items fairly -- don't under-price and don't over-price. Pricing is one of the trickiest things and there are lots of good articles out there about how to price your items so you get fairly compensated for your time, effort and artistry while not ripping anyone off of course.

5. However much time you think you will need for the enterprise, multiply it by 100! You'll spend more time on it than you expect :))

6. Enjoy yourself.

6. GO FOR IT!!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

PS. As you can see, numbers and I don't get along.

It should've been

6. Enjoy yourself.

7. GO FOR IT!!!

LOL. Thank you for these wonderful tips, Simone! Oh, I never knew I must register if I am to sell off a website. Woops. I will read up further on that. Thank you so much! :)

Hello again, Wan! Yes, if you want to sell, you must register a business. Technically, you can get into trouble with the law if you don't. A good place to find out more (but be prepared to navigate through allllll the information) is ACRA - http://www.acra.gov.sg/

Registering a business is quite straightforward and relatively inexpensive. And it's useful if you want to participate in fairs and such as most organizers (of the non flea market variety) require that you be a registered business.

Once again, have fun and good luck! Can't wait to be one of your customers!!! :))

Ohhhh yeah...I am currently reading up and getting giddy with all the terms, so my dear sister, who is more business-minded and equipped than me is helping out with the reads. LOL.

Thank you for telling me so much! With the speed I am going, I don't think I can get it up so soon though, but I would prefer that then getting into trouble with the law. LOL. Okay, I shall stop flooding your entry with my comments. :P

Hello Suzy Wong! You're so cute. Thanks a lot!!! And I know I keep on saying it, but really, let's meet up soon while I can still walk like a normal person and not waddle around :) I hear that in the third trimester, I'll be back to hibernation mode again .. haha!

Hi, Strawberrymilkmama! I LOVE your screen name!!!! Thanks for the congrats and thanks also for visiting Blingalicious :)) Just knowing that there are people who visit makes me happy :))

Hello, Cindy! I think baby wants to give Aunty Cindy a kiss too :D

Hey Sim1
Juz a small advise from mummy-Clarisse. There's a tendency to arch back as tum-tum to balance. That's a big no no coz it strains the back. Its ok to let gravity pull u forward and u r unlikely to topple, in case u r worried. A buge cyber belly rub from me and kiss from Clarisse.

Take care in the meantime!! Nvm he'll be a charming rascal when he's out! I feel so happy for you reading your post!

Hello Mummy-Clarisse! Thanks for the tip :)) I am loving the curves and getting used to figuring out how the new shape "works" ... hahahahaha! Lots of hugs and kisses back to you and darling Clarisse.

Hi Dawne! Thanks for being happy for me :))) Baby (he or she)sends a big hug in return. And what a perfect excuse to go for a pedicure, no? After all, it's virtually impossible to reach the toes now ... hahahhaha!

So happy to know you are having positive experience with carrying baby around. Yup, funny how strangers feel free to be involved with baby :)

It would so fun to have our babies get together! :) Hee. When are you due? Pardon this scatterbrain.

And you are looking good. I'm still in awe of just 1kg weightgain. I was way past that at your stage!

Unknown said...

LOL, min weight gain now is good cos i heard bb only gain weight in the last trimester, earlier and the weight is gained by the mommy;P

Simone said...

Hello SinLady! I'm having tons of fun with the new curves and surprisingly, am taking all the free advice and belly rubs quite well. I thought I'd be a super grouchy witchy you-know-what. But so far, so good! Hahahhaha!

Can we meet up soon? I miss you so much.

Simone said...

Hello Ruth! Yeah, that would be fabulous! I'd love to meet you and your little darling. I'm due in early Nov, but have a feeling that little rascal will be impatient and come a little early like I did.

And the 1kg weight gain won't last long. I am sure that at my next appointment, the kg's would've piled on .. HAHAHHA! I'm sure because my favourite food these days is ICE CREAM!!!! :DD

Simone said...

Hi Chev! Yeah, I'm about to hit trimester #3 soon and expect to get rounder and rounder :))

sinlady said...

We most certainly can. Would you prefer lunch, coffee or dinner?

Simone said...

Hello SinLady. Sorry to be communicating this way :) I misplaced my old handphone and with it, your number as well. Could you sms me please and we can take it from there. Can't wait to meet you again!!!!
