I wonder why owls are considered to be wise? Could it be because of their huge all-knowing eyes?

Or perhaps can we thank mythology -- the Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena, was always depicted holding an owl.

Whatever the case is, I could not resist bringing this fella home with me when I saw him in the store. Isn't he a cutie?

He sits on a golden "branch" off which dangles accents of moonstone, gold-filled leaves, black onyx, citrine and andalusite.

All gold bits are 14K gold-filled, as are the fine chain and clasp (not shown).

You decide what length you'd like the chain to be; pendant measures about 7.5 cm.

Strength - SOLD

Oh boy do I need a little dose of strength myself now :) Sorry for the loooooong break with no updates. Just when I thought it could not get any more insane at work, it did.

But nothing can keep this Blingaholic away from her stones for too long! So here I present to you, "Strength".

This is a sleek, simple piece which combines tigereye (for strength) and smokey quartz (to dispel negativity). Spacers are goldtone pewter.

Ear hooks are 14K gold-filled. Total length is a touch over 4cm (or 1 3/4 inches).
