Simplicity - SOLD

Bling-mix: Turquoise teardrops
Bling "hardware": Decorative ear hooks are 925 silver
Dimensions: Total length is a little over 4cm

With the anniversary coming up really soon, I've been reminded of the frenzy of preparations for the celebrations.

Goodness, at that time, I was sooooo taken in with every itty-bitty detail and stressed myself out listening to everybody's aunt's cousin's third uncle's neighbour's comments ... and boy did everyone have an opinion ... hahahhaa!

If I could do it all over again, I'd keep it like this pair of ear-rings -- simple. Just beautiful turquoise drops hanging off fancy 925 silver ear-wires.

After all, the most important thing about a wedding is the commitment two people are making to each other, in the presence of those nearest and dearest.

Now, 10 years on, I wonder how many people really remember what our invitations looked like or whether the flowers were pink or white or what the fifth course was :)

What *I* remember most is the look on my sweetie's face when he saw me enter the church; the love that was reflected on the faces of relatives and friends; the thumping heart while vows were being exchanged .... the mutual respect & love that just grew and grew from that day on ....

If I could do it all over again, my motto would be: Keep it simple, don't sweat the small stuff :))

On the Lily Pad - SOLD

I'm in wire wrapture :D (Gotta love Eni Oken!)

This whimsical piece depicts a froggie about to leap off a "lily pad" of lime turquoise. The dangle at the end, which represents bubbles in the pond, is a 925 twisted silver ring.

Frog charm is pewter; the second one in the pic is for decorative purposes only, and is not included.

Pendant comes with a stainless steel neckwire which you can also use with your other pendants.

Land & Sea - SOLD!

Warm, earthy, shimmery tones of bronzite meets the calming blue of turquoise in this necklace.

The turquoise pendant has beautiful flecks of brown scattered through it. The speckles, plus the colour, earn such a stone the name "robin's egg" turquoise. Cute, eh?

Bronzite is supposed to help dispel restlessness whilst turquoise is said to be the stone of wholeness and eloquence.

Necklace measures 16 inches, with a 2-inch extension chain.

Fireworks - Blu (SOLD!)

There is something so magically celebratory about fireworks that turns even the most jaded adult into a bit of a kid again .... even for a while.

So since I'm in a celebratory kind of mood, and since some of the energy has returned, some explosively happy creations decided to come into being.
Above is #1, Fireworks - Blu.
Each "burst" is made up of more than 20 little stabilised turquoise & carnelian beads as well as a dash of Swarovski crystals. The anchoring dangle is howlite dyed lapis blue.
Ear hooks are 14K gold-filled. Total length is a little over 4cm.

Princess of the Nile - SOLD

Continuing the "royal" theme, here is a pair of ear-rings which had, as its inspiration, the hues of ancient egyptian jewellery.

Lapis-blue dyed howlite gets contrasting accents of turquoise, apatite, carnelian and sparkling Swarovski crystal.

Little lotus charms are lead-free pewter and from the US.

Ear hooks are 14K gold-filled. Total length is about 1 3/4 inches or approx 4.5cm.

Empress 1 - SOLD

This creation was inspired by the writeup in LifeStyle yesterday, on Gong Li's costumes in her latest movie. Actually, I didn't read the article -- the photos of her extravagant uhhh boobage told the story ... hahahaha!

Annnywaaaays, here is a pair of ear-rings I imagine a Chinese Empress from a bygone age would've enjoyed wearing.

Turquoise blue cloisonne teams up with dangles of turquoise, lapis lazuli and goldtone pewter charms.

Chain and ear hooks are 14K gold-filled.

Tangerine & Turquoise - SOLD

Here is one of the necklaces which quickly went to a new home at the recent Faire.

It's a bright and zesty combination of tangerine-orange coral and fresh blue turquoise.
