Lucky Fruit (S$32/US$19.40)

Bling-mix: dyed red coral, agate, Swarovski crystals, pewter swirls, 14K gold-filled ear hooks, chain, jumprings and headpins.

Red and yellow are auspicious colours and so I decided to combine them in this concoction which reminds me of those lucky plants (sorry I don't know the name) which fill the nurseries in the lead up to the Lunar New Year.

"Fruit" of dyed red Coral and Agate get sparkling Swarovski crystal "stems" which then hang off a fine 14K gold-filled chain.

The "fruit" are connected to the 14K gold-filled ear hooks by swirly goldtone pewter accents.

Beads measure about 6mm in diameter each and all the metal bits (apart from the pewter accent) are 14K gold-filled.

Drop is about 1 1/2 inches.

** Note: Ear hooks are cleaned and disinfected before ear-rings are shipped.

Metaphysical properties of Coral: Coral is said to be a stress-buster and is also believed to bring calm to the user. Some people believe that coral helps restore harmony too.

Metaphysical properties of Agate: It is said that in ancient Persia, agate was used to divert storms. Today, some people believe that agate promotes strength and healing and helps ensure a healthy life. Some also believe that agate "cures" insomnia and protects against danger.
