Amore! Amore! Amore! - SOLD
Amore (pronounced ah-MOH-ray) is Italian for "love" and boy is love in the air (or maybe it's the caffeine that is in the system that's driving me a little loopy ... hahahaha).
I've been so inspired by Belinda's charm bracelets, especially the latest Pink Amour and Mademoiselle, that I had to whip up something "charming" too. This bracelet is rich in symbolism:
- It is made up of three strands -- three, according to some cultures, is the number of completeness;
- It features freshwater and glass pearls -- pearls are a traditional symbol of love, success and happiness (which is why they are so popular for weddings); and
- A sparkling Swarovski heart is a focal point. A little cupid (another love symbol) attaches the heart charm to the bracelet. This site explains how the heart shape became the icon for love.
Look out for BlingHome! wine-glass charms which will feature little Swarovski hearts. I'm making them now and will post pics in a couple of days. The Love Charms would make a fun bridal shower, wedding or even anniversary gift. Watch this space....
