Introducing ~ Blingalicious Signature Series
Blingalicious is evolving! Today, I'm launching the new "Signature Series" -- special pieces crafted using only premium components and featuring wirework in 14K gold-fill or non-tarnish genuine sterling silver wire. In this series, you'll also find gem-quality or more unusual stones.
Prices will be kept sensible -- no paying $100+ for a combo of glass beads and rhodium chains here (I've seriously seen this, no exaggeration here) -- but will reflect the value of the creative time spent, minerals, gemstones and precious metals used.
The pic at the top offers a preview of some of the creations, but they're not available yet as I'm putting the finishing touches on them.
The original Blingalicious "series" -- ie. what I've been creating since the beginning -- will continue :) It's just that now, you will also have an additional choice of extra-special creations.
Thank you all for your wonderful support & for the inspiration to take Blingalicious to new heights!

Hi Simone darling! This is going to be exciting.. I can't wait!
$100+ for a combo of glass beads and rhodium chains here <- I know of 2 very popular in that range!!! & their items sell coz the makers are *popular*. I think it's all branding! Yes? :)
Hi mamimoo ~ Thanks! You're the sweetest.
Hi Farah ~ :-) Yep, branding is important; good point!! What I saw was in the shops, so maybe to be fair, we're paying for rent, product advertising and all.
If you think abt it, when we pay for Gucci or Chanel or Starbucks or Massimo Dutti or Zara or St Michael's or whatever, in addition to the quality, we are also paying for the brand.
I'm sooooo NOT in the "branded" (local, online or otherwise) league, so maybe what I wrote was a little unfair.
Hmmmmm .... thanks for that food for thought :-))
Oh yeah I forgot all about those in shops. I went to browse not too long ago a shop in town that sells accessories that are handmade. No way are they more superior to what you make(& I truly mean this coz till now since Chev made me pick up accessories making which is BTW not too long ago, I've not torn apart any of the work I got from you but have done so for many others not by you. Actually I cannot bear to break apart your work coz they are exceptional).
These *branded* local shops also use supplies we get locally from our bead shops. But yes their margin is driven down because of rental.
It's a sad thing but I am a sucker for brands esp Gucci, Lv & the likes! *runs away in shame*
Hi Farah, thanks for your very kind words :) *blush* *blush*
As for brands, well branding matters. A lot. Otherwise people would not invest time, money or effort in developing a brand. A brand sells an experience beyond just the product, and that is what always gets me :)
So yes, I'm a huge sucker for brands -- especially Mac! I just adore their lipsticks (and their groovy print campaigns).
Wooo, they look great!!! Congratulations! I can't wait for you to showcase them!!:)
Ohhhh I did not know you love makeup too! MAC lustre lippies & lipglass are my fave, one particular SA made it all the more enjoyable. You do know they are a small punk, for lack of a better word, brand? EL bought them & rebranded so now we have WOW MAC!!! I have been a makeup fan since 5/6yrs ago, was a very active makeupalley member. That's also how I made so many like minded shopping crazy women friends!!!
Thanks so much, Chev! I'll be listing them shortly :)
Hey Farah, yes, every time I pass one of their counters, I get a MAC attack and go crazy-stupid and all of a sudden NEED to get yet ANOTHER shade of pinky-brown lipstick.
