Red jasper is one of my favourite varieties of this stone of many varieties. It is said that red jasper has the ability to deflect negative energy back to the one sending it out!

In this creation, red jasper combines with peach aventurine and a swirl-bedecked agate donut pendant.

Sparkle is provided courtesy of gold-plated bead caps and Swarovski crystals.

Sorry for the grotty photo -- I had forgotten to take a pic at home before this piece went to That Boutique and had to settle for taking a pic there last weekend with not the best of lights.

The poppy jasper is a deep shade of red which doesn't show up well in this photo. The pic doesn't capture the lovely translucent quality of the agate piece either.
