New Adventures in Seed Beading

Note: The bracelet is based on an original necklace design and instructions ("Ring Around The Posies") by Lynn Hoffman, as featured in Beadwork Magazine (Apr/May 2006). This bracelet is not for sale until permission by the original artist is granted.

Thank goodness for work-free weekends! For the first time in many weeks, the laptop stayed firmly shut and the Bling tools came out instead :)

This time, instead of wires and pliers, I've taken to playing with seed beads and here is the result of one experiment which is actually a pattern adapted from an article in Beadwork magazine (Apr/May 2006). The original artist is Lynn Hoffman.

This bracelet, which I've named "Autumn Flowers," features Czech pressed glass flower beads, Swarovski crystals and "pearls". I think I'll make a matching necklace, just to practise the weaving technique.

I NEVER knew how "technical" playing with seed beads could get and have been fiddling around with different stitches such as ndebele (or herringbone) and peyote (even count, odd count, tubular). Then, there are different types of threads and bead sizes and types of needles and whatnots.

I've also learnt to bead around cabochons and will post pics of new experiments soon!

Hi!
At first I thought it was a necklace... I think it's very beautiful and it will be a very beautiful necklace indeed. I like working with wire and pliers but I can't keep my laptop shut... I'm a computer addict... see you soon, manela
